Dear New Creation,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord. The session wanted to reach out and give you some details and guidelines as the Myers family begins their sabbatical this Sunday. Please keep our pastor and his family in your prayers over the next 15 weeks while they are away. Pray that they experience a life-giving, joy-filled, delightful rest, and that the Spirit of God renews them and blesses them. If you feel so led, we’d love for you to send them a note of encouragement.

During this time Dan and Kerstin will not be attending New Creation. If you have any contact

with them, we’d ask that you refrain from talking about the church or even asking how the

sabbatical is going. We want them to just experience their sabbatical and process it once it’s over. You will be seeing Selah and Aurelia occasionally leading worship at New Creation this summer. The Myers will all be back on September 7.

 

Your elders, Jack Kinyon and Kendall Lloyd are here for you. Please reach out to them directly

with questions, for pastoral care, counseling, or any crisis that may arise. Please also keep in

mind that Jack will be getting married at the end of June and going on his honeymoon in the

middle of July. Please pray for him and Sarah as well. If there are any ministry emergencies, theelders will reach out to Dan directly.

Please make every effort to stay consistent in your family life at New Creation this summer. We have some wonderful guest preachers and worship leaders planned for you. Remember, that your senior pastor is not leaving. He is always with you and he never forsakes you. He is there for you day and night. You can always call upon him and he is ready to respond. His name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
